Upper Berkeley Care ensures to prepare young persons with the life skills to manage their day-to-day responsibilities. This is to enhance their mindset for the transition into being self-reliant, self-care, managing their own tenancy and to achieve their personal goals.

The support we offer is unpinned by the following:

• Environment is warm and friendly within the provision.
• By ensuring that our staff are trained and competent to provide support.
• Young Persons having the basic knowledge on how to access funds (Universal Credit), GP, faith groups, local amenities etc
• By working to a tailored plan of support that has been agreed with the young person & their carer e.g. Social worker/Personal Advisor and generally reviewed monthly
• By supporting Young Persons to access all community services available to them.
• By working with the Young Person to promote essential life skills to help increase their independence.
• By treating all Young Persons with dignity and respect.
• By encouraging Young Persons to be involved in the development of the service.
• Once the Young Persons is ready, we will assist them with finding Private Rented Accommodation
